Jul. 17, 2013 @ 07:08 AM

ONA -- About three dozen local boy scouts and adult leaders packed up and headed out on Monday to Mount Hope, W.Va., for the 2013 National Scout Jamboree.

The 10-day jamboree will be the first at the expansive new Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve near Beckley. The jamboree is conducted every four years to celebrate scouting. Approximately 40,000 scouts, visitors, volunteers and staff from across the country will attend the Jamboree in Mount Hope.

Scouting parents Bob Oehler and Brian Bradley shared these photos of scouts from the Tri-State Area Council heading out from Camp Arrowhead in Ona on Monday.
