Motorcycle ride Saturday in memory of cancer patients

CHESAPEAKE, Ohio -- The the Team Toni 2nd Annual Memorial Motorcycle Poker Run/Jeep Ride will take place Saturday, Sept. 14.

The event is in memory of Toni Black and David Carrico. Team Toni is a non profit organization that was started in memory of Toni Black to raise money for local cancer patients.

Saturday's event will begin at noon at Jill's Tumble World in Chesapeake. Registration begins at 10 a.m. The ride will conclude at RT Champs, 1605 Madison Ave., in Huntington.

Rain date is 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28.

The cost is $15 for a single rider and $20 for double or $10 per jeep and $5 for each extra person. T-shirts will be available for $12.

In addition to the ride, there will be 50/50 drawings and raffle items. Ride participants will also receive food tickets at registration that will include a meal.

Riders will start at Jill's Tumble World, take Route 7; turn left on Route 243; go straight at the 4-way stop to 378 north; turn right on 141 east; 25 miles to first stop at a grocery store on 141; turn left on 233 west; 20 miles from the store to The Swamp, which is the next stop; get on 279 east, turn right on 35 east; first exit off 35 (325 south rio grande); turn left on 588 east; turn right on cemetery road to the end; stop is the Marathon gas station (70 miles from Tumble World); then take 141 east to Route 7 to Rome Cemetery; then to RT Champs.
