West End Ministerial Association
The 2012 campaign is under way for The United Way of the River Cities with a goal of $1.25 million. Reaching that goal helps fund programs for more than 20 Tri-State agencies that provide vital services in Cabell, Wayne, Mason and Lincoln counties in West Virginia and Lawrence County, Ohio. One of those partners is the West End Ministerial Association.
Program mission: This program was established to assist those in the West End of Huntington (1st St. to Wayne Co. line, from the Ohio River to the Railroad tracks) who cannot meet all financial obligations as might be reflected in unpaid utility bills (electric, gas, water).
Outcome: Five to 10 households receive assistance with utility bills each month.
