Amnesty gives opportunity to dispose of old tires
WAYNE -- The Wayne County Solid Waste Authority and the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection are hosting a tire amnesty day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at the authority's facility at 322 Bluefield Street in Wayne.
Individuals may dispose of up to 10 tires per person. Tires must be 16 inches or smaller and will be accepted on or off the rims. Haulers and businesses are not allowed to participate.
The program is offered to Wayne County residents only and requires a West Virginia ID. For more information, call 304-272-6706.
