Globetrotters bring world-class talent to town
HUNTINGTON -- The red, white and blue of the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters took over Wednesday night during an annual stop at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena.
The oldest basketball franchise in the world visited the Tri-State as a part of its current "You Write the Rules" tour, during which the Globetrotters are letting fans decide which new rules to use when the team comes to their city.
Options for new rules include double points for each basket, a penalty box for players who commit fouls and even requiring the players to play the game with two basketballs.
The next event at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena will be the WSAZ Home and Garden show from Friday, March 8, to Sunday, March 10.
