United Way: Spring Valley Presbyterian Food Pantry

The 2012 campaign is under way for The United Way of the River Cities with a goal of $1.25 million. Reaching that goal helps fund programs for more than 20 Tri-State agencies that provide vital services in Cabell, Wayne, Mason and Lincoln counties in West Virginia and Lawrence County, Ohio. One of those partners is the Spring Valley Presbyterian Food Pantry.

Program mission: Provides emergency food orders to families and individuals from Wayne, Cabell Lincoln counties in West Virginia, and Lawrence and Gallia counties in Ohio, as well as Boyd and Carter counties in Kentucky.

Outcome: 41 families and 88 individuals will receive food each month. An additional 13 individuals and 81 individuals will receive Thanksgiving food baskets; and, 14 families and 84 individuals receive Christmas food baskets.
