Ballengee named Barboursville Fall Fest Little Miss Queen

BARBOURSVILLE -- Quinnlyn Reese Ballengee, daughter of Leslie and Dewey Ballengee, won the Barboursville Fall Fest Little Miss Queen 2012 on Saturday, Sept. 8.

She is also the sister of Cody Ballengee and granddaughter of Sue and Dewey Ballengee and Faye and Perry Compson.

Winter Wonderland of Lights Festival announces pageant

ASHLAND -- The Winter Wonderland of Lights Festival is now accepting applications for the 6th Annual Winter Wonderland Beauty Pageant set for 3 p.m. Nov. 3, at Verity Middle School as well as registrations for the Annual Christmas Parade, scheduled for 7 p.m., Nov. 20, in downtown Ashland and designs for the "Christmas Card to the Community" project.

Applications/registrations may be obtained by calling 606-324-5111, visiting the Alliance office, may be downloaded off the website www.winterwonderlandoflights.com or WWOL Facebook page. Applications and entry fees for the Beauty Pageant must be postmarked no later than Oct. 29. There is a $500 Educational Scholarship for the winner of the Queen Division. Parade applications must be received no later than Nov. 13.

Designs for the Community Christmas Card project must be submitted for approval no later than Oct. 15, with cards delivered to Central Park by Nov. 2.
