Students asked to design gambling posters
CHARLESTON -- Students are being asked to design posters to help the Problem Gamblers Help Network of West Virginia publicize its addiction outreach services.
The group operates the 1-800-GAMBLER treatment program. The posters will be used during National Problem Gambling Awareness Week to publicize the effects of gambling addiction and highlight the pathway to help. The posters should focus on the symptoms and consequences of problem gambling, which include lying to loved ones about how much they gamble, asking others for money to pay off your gambling debts and risking jobs or relationships to continue gambling.
Everyone who submits an entry will receive an appreciation gift. The designers of the best posters will receive iPod Nano Shuffles. Visit www.1800gambler.net for the entry form. Entries must be received by March 1.
