Huntington native graduates from Cooley law school
LANSING, Mich. -- William Davis, a native of Huntington, graduated in January from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Mich.
Davis earned a leadership achievement award and a peer mediation award, while also serving as president of the Southern Law Coalition. He also served as the chairman of the Pillar Transitional Authority and sat on the board of directors for the Student Bar Association.
He is working as a legal intern at Cape Fear Family Law in North Carolina.
Davis also is a graduate of Marshall University and Spring Valley High School.
He is the son of Ginny Goodyear and Tom Davis.
Local students named to Dean's List at Fairmont State
FAIRMONT -- Students from Cabell and Putnam counties have been named to the Dean's and President's lists at Fairmont State University for the fall 2012 semester.
Tabitha Bias and Benjamin Sanders from Cabell County were named to the Dean's List, as were Jonathan Hannigan, Caitlin Teetor, Michelle Tompkin, Mikyle White and Brittany Williams from Putnam County.
Crystal Johnson and Bradley Reed from Putnam County were named to the President's List.
Barboursville resident named to honor roll
GLENVILLE -- Randy S. Cremeans Jr. of Barboursville was named to the Provost's Honor Roll for the fall 2012 semester at Glenville State College.
To be named to the Provost's Honor Roll, a student must have a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.99.
