Healthy Classes, Programs and Screenings
HUNTINGTON -- A number of health-conscious classes, programs and screenings are scheduled in the Tri-State this week. Some of the activities offered in the area:
Caregiver University, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, Cabell Huntington Hospital, Harless Auditorium, 1340 Hal Greer Blvd., Huntington. A one-day mini-conference dedicated to family and professional caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia. Event includes a series of workshops designed to enhance caregivers' ability to provide quality care and support the individual they are caring for, while maintaining their own health and wellness. Living Well with Cancer, noon to 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center, room G99, 1340 Hal Greer Blvd., Huntington. A.W.A.K.E. Support Group, noon, Friday, March 8, Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, Bellefonte Centre, 1000 Ashland Drive, Russell, Ky. The event is for individuals who have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and use durable medical equipment at home.
