Stamp Out Hunger set for May 10
HUNTINGTON — Saturday, May 10 will mark the 22nd year of the Stamp Out Hunger event, the nation’s largest single-day food drive.
Campbell Soup Company will join forces with the National Association of Letter Carriers to conduct the event. Campbell will donate one million pounds of food to Feeding America.
People can place non-perishable foods next to their mailbox prior to the time of regular mail delivery on Saturday, May 10. Local letter carrier will pick up the donated items and take them to local food banks.
The food drive aims to help those in need during the critical summer months when food supply is depleted. According to the USDA, nearly 49 million Americans are at risk of hunger.
