Communities come together for festival, Pumpkin House

Purchase this photoKENOVA -- Among the changing leaves, the warm weather and the lighting of a giant pumpkin, C-K Autumnfest began to take shape Tuesday evening.
Appropriately starting in Ceredo and ending in Kenova, the C-K Autumnfest parade served as the grand opening for the event, now in its third year.
The festival will take a break Wednesday, but it will be back again Thursday, with vendors opening from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at Ric Griffith's Pumpkin House along Beech Street in Kenova, where pumpkins are being carved and put out for display by the minute.
Volunteers are welcome to participate in carving pumpkins by stopping by the residence any day, any time during the festival. No appointments are necessary.
