Wayne teachers recognized at ceremonial tea on March 22
HUNTINGTON -- A Wayne County Teacher Recognition Tea took place March 22 at the United Methodist Church.
The ceremony was conducted by the Huntington District of Alpha Delta Kappa, an International Honorary Organization for Women Educators.
Superintendent Lynn Hurt was recognized for her leadership. Paula Davis, past West Virginia State A K president and past international historian presented Hurt with a certificate and roses from the Huntington District.
Huntington District Chairman Kim Ray and West Virginia State President Crystal Baranowski presented the educators with certificates and words of praise and encouragement.
Educators present for the ceremony were Nikki Steffy, Jamie Smith, Janna Meyers, Tammy Gibson, Dreama Ward, Danielle Pence, Susan Eastham, Melissa Crisel and Hannah Angle.
