ORGANIST: A Methodist minister and organist returns to Huntington for a two-part concert. The Rev. C. Ralph Mills of Charleston performs on a historical 1925 E.M. Skinner instrument from 3 to 3:45 p.m. Sunday, April 6, at B'Nai Sholom Congregation. Mills performs on a 1975 Austin organ at 4 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Episcopal Church.
MEMORIES: Known as a "roadrunner," Justine Bowen was a traveler loving to talk to everyone she met. The former Huntington real estate agent and appraiser passed away Feb. 23 at age 91. This mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was an active member of Beverly Hills United Methodist Church and held offices in various other organizations. Prayers and thoughts remain with the family as days following bring sorrow and times of missing her.
RECEPTION: Orpheum Society members, comprised of individuals contributing $1,000 or more toward the operation, renovation and restoration of the historic Keith-Albee Performing Arts Theatre, are honored with a reception at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 6. CHUCKLE: Three women were commenting on the new style of driver's license their state was using. They all agreed they actually liked the pictures appearing on the licenses and got them out for a look. On passing Peggy's to her sister-in-law, she exclaimed, "That is a good picture, Peggy. It doesn't look like you at all."
