Paramount announces 12th annual Kentucky Music Trail series lineup

ASHLAND —  The Country Music Highway will light up the summer nights with some home-grown country music as the Kentucky Music Trail announces its 12th season of shows at Ashland’s historic Paramount Arts Center.

The annual KMT concert series has both brought home many of the country stars who grew up along the Country Music Highway or U.S. 23 such as Billy Ray Cyrus, Wynonna, Loretta Lynn, Ricky Skaggs as well as booked both up-and-coming country artists and such legends as Merle Haggard.
 This season’s KMT concert series will feature Betsy Lane, Ky., native honky-tonk singer and actor, Dwight Yoakam, who will kick off the series on Saturday, June 8.

Lawrence County, Ky., native Ricky Skaggs, a 14-time Grammy Award-winner and label owner who has seen his last 12 Skaggs Family Records nominated for Grammys. Skaggs, who was last in the area for the 2012 Appalachian Uprising, will play the historic Paramount on July 27.

 The third KMT show will be Curb Records recording artist Lee Brice, who will be in concert on Aug. 18. Brice is a four-time ACM nominee.

Tickets will go on sale to the public online at www.paramountartscenter.com at 5 p.m. Friday, April 5.

 Ticket prices are as follows: Dwight Yoakam, At 8 p.m. Saturday June 8. Tickets are $35, $45, $50 and $55

 Ricky Skaggs, at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 27. Tickets are $30, $35 and $40
Lee Brice, at 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18. Tickets are $30, $35, $40 and $45
