Carter Caves to run Smoky Bridge zipline on Saturday, Sunday
OLIVE HILL, KY. — Located just 45 minutes west of Huntington, Carter Caves State Resort Park is a quick trip to check out the latest outdoors craze of ziplining.
Come out Saturday and Sunday, May 4-5 and take a ride on the Smoky Bridge High Line Ride, a 200-foot-long, temporary zip that cruises by the park’s largest natural arch, Smoky Bridge.
Tickets are $15 a person (one ride per ticket). There are a limited number of tickets and they are on sale at the front desk in the park lodge, or call 1-800-325-0059. Tickets provide a specified day and time for your ride. (There is a weight limit of 250 pounds; however, you must also fit in the harness per manufacturers' safety guidelines.)
Rides will be offered May 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on May 5 from 10 a.m. to noon. By Wednesday afternoon, more than half the slots were already reserved. To make a reservation, call Carter Caves at 606-286-4411 or go online at www.parks.ky.gov and click onto Carter Caves for more info.
