Wayne BOE to host parent program
WAYNE -- Wayne County Schools and the Parent Educator Resource Center will offer a free training on understanding special education at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 9, at the board office, 212 North Court St., Wayne.
The training is available to parents, family members or any individual who is interested in learning about special education in public schools. Surrogate parents, individuals assigned by the district to assume the rights and responsibilities of a parent under the Individuals with Disabilities Act, also can attend.
