St. Mary's staff is applauded for care

St. Mary's staff is applauded for care

I saw the news recently about the problems hospitals are having maintaining enough nursing staff. Though specifically about CMAC, the report said the problems were statewide. St. Mary's deals with it remarkably well: none of my summons for help (accidental and real) took more than five minutes for a response; most took less. Everyone on the staff was gracious, helpful and concerned with my well-being, even though I was not happy to be there. With no health coverage I cannot afford the cost of a hospital stay, or the care that goes with it.

Those I am applauding might remember the chunky, blonde lady in room 4179 from a Wednesday evening through Friday afternoon, whose low RBC, HGB and HCT levels were the reason for her being admitted. I include the staff of 4 South Team 4, and those in the "endo" unit who performed an endoscopy Thursday afternoon, helping me avoid an extra day in the hospital; also those in the ER who processed me for admittance. For all of you (and there were many) who had to deal with me, I want to say a warm and grateful "Thank you!"

Weeks in hospital made easier because of staff

I would like to thank all of the nurses, doctors, therapists and housekeepers at St. Mary's Medical Center and skilled nursing for the excellent care given me for the 22 days for knee replacement. The pictures were great and I will cherish them.

Keep up the good work and God will bless you.

Leaders earn praise for house demolitions

I want to thank Mayor Kim Wolfe and all others involved in tearing down down the old houses. They are doing an awesome job. I think it will cut down on the crimes, the drug hideouts, the rapes, meth labs and killings.

Praise to all who have done this job and done it well. Again, thank you all.
