Monthly CAFE dinner tonight at library
HUNTINGTON -- The monthly, arts-fueled community dinner called CAFE Huntington (Creative Arts Funding Endeavor) is still looking for a few more presenters as well as volunteers for Tuesday's meal.
The meal will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, in the community meeting room on the third floor of the main Cabell County Public Library, 455 9th St., Huntington.
Attendees share a meal, cooked by volunteers, and at meal's end, people vote on which artists or project will get the money collected at the dinner.
Up to five artists can present their project in hopes of gaining the collective money (anywhere from $280 to $720 so far) as well as gaining needed exposure and networking to get their often fledgling ideas off the ground.
