Beech Fork announces upcoming events

Here are several upcoming activities at Beech Fork State Park:

Wednesday, June 26

2 p.m. Bocce Ball at the boat docks.

4 p.m. Corn Hole at the boat docks.

Thursday, June 27

5 p.m. Paddle Boat Race at the dock. Each boat must have someone 16 or older on board. Free ice cream for the winner.

Friday, June 28

6 p.m. Meet at the Park Headquarters/ Camper's Corner for a nice hay ride. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Saturday, June 29

1 p.m. Lost Trail Hike: This is a great hike for those looking for a good workout or to really get into the park flora and fauna. Hikers will meet at the Moxley Branch bathhouse, just look for the Beech Fork State Park Naturalist Jason Bryant in uniform with a back pack. Be sure to bring water and good footwear, this hike is about 3.5 miles.

4 to 5 p.m. Bocce Ball and Cornhole games

5:30 p.m. Nature Trail Investigation: Meet the park naturalist at Camper's Corner.

8 to 9 p.m. Fire Building and Marshmallow Roast: Meet at the campfire circle near the Overlook Trail. Fire will be using flint starter, rather than matches to start fire. the marshmallows are free.

Sunday June 30

1 p.m. Moxley Branch Stream Investigation: Come meet the naturalist by the Moxley Branch Bathhouse and take a short walk to the stream
