Pictured are the former residents and their families who lived on Perry Street from the late 1930s to the present. The land was originally owned by Perry Russell, for whom it was named. Folks came from near and far to attend the reunion, which was held June 15 at the covered picnic area of Ritter Park. The 1948 class of Wayne High School held its 60th class reunion on May 24 at the Family Restaurant near Wayne. The reunion brought together 27 members of the class. Booklets were made, which included a sketch of all of the 95 members of the class. The booklets were given or sent to the 64 members of the class who are still alive. Copies were placed in the Wayne Library and Wayne High School. Those who attended the reunion were: front row, Agnes Lycans, Evelyn Massie, Juanita Davis, Eloise Hale, Roberta Oldaker, Katie Thompson and Bonnie Hall; second row, Lena Watts, Ermal Lam, Doris Christian, Ina Peake, Jean Saunders, Ernestine Ward, Ann Collins and Lovella Fry; third row, Garland Lycans, Lundy Williamson, Charles Hale, Dallas Hall, Clyde Maynard, Lucian Fraley and R.B. Davidson; fourth row, Kenneth Mills and Teddy Adkins. Ruth Evelyn Lazear attended the reunion, but was not pictured.

The "Lunch Bunch" at their annual picnic on the river. The "Lunch Bunch" originally consisted of 1960-1962 Huntington High School graduates. They meet monthly at different area restaurants just to keep up with friends. We were having so much fun that Huntington East High School grads wanted to join. We kept growing until we now have CK, Vinson, Wayne, and any others that can sneak in participating. The fellowship is wonderful. The '60s were good years.
