HUNTINGTON -- Marshall softball head coach Shonda Stanton made two additions to her staff.
Amanda Williams, a former Thundering Herd player, is on board as an assistant coach. Student manager Scott Hall was promoted to the Director of Softball Operations position.
Williams played from 2003 to 2006.
"No one knows our program better than Amanda," Stanton said. "She was a difference maker as a player for the Herd and has a strong passion to see our current student-athletes excel."
Williams joined the coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach in 2007.
She left a mark on school records as the top player in career hits, runs scored, doubles, RBIs and total bases. She earned four all-conference honors first team honors, three as a member of the Mid-American Conference and one in Conference USA.
Williams plays for Rockford Thunder of the National Pro Fastpitch League.
Hall was a student manager for the past five seasons.
"Scott's work ethic and dedication make him very deserving of this promotion within our program," Stanton said.
He is a Marshall graduate and former sports director at WMUL, the student radio station.
