Reports from the Huntington Police Department provided the following information:
An 18-year-old Huntington woman locked her children and herself inside a bedroom closet after someone broke into her residence about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of Marcum Terrace.
BREAKING AND ENTERING: More than $3,000 of mowing equipment was reported stolen from the Spring Hill Cemetery's garage, 1427 Norway Ave.
The incident occurred about 4:30 p.m. Monday.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: A heat pump was damaged behind Huntington Junior College after someone attempted to steal it.
The incident occurred between 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday in the 900 of 5th Avenue.
Copper lines were reported damaged resulting in coolant leaking from the unit.
LARCENY: A 54-year-old Huntington man reported that someone stole a heating and air conditioning unit from his business between 6 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday in the 2800 block of Park Avenue.
BURGLARY: Two Huntington women reported that someone entered their residence and stole two laptops and numerous jewelry items about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of 6th Avenue.
Reports from the Cabell County Sheriff's Office provided the following information:
Mark A. Marcum, 33, of Williamson, W.Va., was arrested about 3 p.m. Friday in the 1700 block of 5th Street. He had an active burglary warrant.
FORGERY/UTTERING/CREDIT CARD FRAUD: Amy Vansant, 31, of Barboursville was arrested at the Cabell County Courthouse about 10:45 a.m. Monday. She had four active felony warrants of forgery, uttering and credit card fraud.
POSSESSION WITH THE INTENT: Meagan Dunae Steele, 23, of Huntington was arrested about 4:18 a.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of Norway Avenue. She was charged with possession with intent.
The arrest came after a traffic stop. Deputies confiscated prescription pills and about $2,600 worth of marijuana inside the vehicle.
BURGLARY: A 29-year-old Huntington woman reported that someone kicked in the door of her residence and took jewelry about 2:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 5700 block of Shawnee Drive.
Reports from the Western Regional Jail's booking records provided the following information:
Norman Travis Blevins, 37, was booked shortly after midnight Wednesday. He was charged with receiving and transferring stolen property worth more than $1,000, a felony, and possession of a controlled substance. He was expected to be arraigned Wednesday in Wayne County Magistrate Court.
Kenneth Ray Daniels, 36, was booked about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday on charges of possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor; and felonious smuggling/transferring alcohol and a controlled substance, and weapons in jail. He awaited arraignment Wednesday in Cabell Magistrate Court.
