Marshall supporters urged to wear green on Fridays

HUNTINGTON -- Marshall University fans, students, faculty and staff are urged to wear green and white on Fridays as part of College Colors Day.
 

The official College Colors Day was organized by Collegiate Licensing Company four years ago, and Marshall is participating for the third consecutive year. It kicked off today, as the Thundering Herd prepares to kick off the football season against Illinois State Satruday.
 

Marshall plays at Wisconsin Saturday, before returning home Sept. 13 for a 7 p.m. showdown with Memphis.
 

The Herd are on the road Sept. 20 to face Southern Mississippi before they travel to Morgantown to face West Virginia University at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 27.
