Center for Surgical Weight Control to host seminars
HUNTINGTON -- The Cabell Huntington Hospital Center for Surgical Weight Control will begin hosting surgical weight control seminars on Thursdays beginning June 5 at the 20th Street Professional Building at 1115 20th St. in Huntington. Other seminars will take place at the Hampton Inn in Hurricane.
The center, recognized as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence by the American Society for Bariatric Surgery, moved into its new home in March for clinical visits and patient appointments. The new location will now be the site for monthly educational seminars for anyone considering bariatric surgery.
Dr. Blaine Nease, director of the center, will discuss the surgeries, risks, benefits and complications during the sessions.
Upcoming seminar dates include: June 5, Huntington; June 12, Hurricane; July 10, Huntington; July 24, Hurricane; Aug. 7, Huntington; Sept. 4, Hurricane; Sept. 11, Huntington; Oct. 2, Huntington; Oct. 16, Hurricane; Nov. 6, Huntington; Dec. 4, Hurricane; Dec. 11, Huntington.
