Police blotter: 67-year-old woman attacked, vehicle stolen Saturday

Police reports from the Huntington Police Departments provided the following information:

A 19-year-old Huntington woman was arrested Saturday after a woman was attacked and her vehicle stolen.

Jessica R. Johnson, was apprehended about 10 p.m. in the 1100 block of 11th Avenue. She was charged with robbery.

The arrest came after a 67-year-old Huntington woman said a woman began hitting and kicking her. The victim said the woman dragged her outside and then took her vehicle.

Officers recovered the vehicle during the arrest.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: A cinder block was thrown through a windshield of a rental car between 3 and 8 a.m. Friday at 28th Street and Roby Road.

ROBBERY: A 38-year-old Huntington man reported that someone hit him in the face, cut him with a box cutter and took his wallet between 8:45 and 9:28 a.m. Friday in the 2700 block of Highlawn Avenue.

Police have one suspect.

ROBBERY: A 47-year-old woman from Louisa, Ky., reported that a man took her wallet from her purse after she offered to give him a ride about 8:26 p.m. Sunday in the 1700 block of Charleston Avenue.

STOLEN AUTO: A 20-year-old Huntington man reported that his gold 1996 Hyundai Accent was stolen about 2:22 p.m. Friday in the 2700 block of Latulle Avenue.

STOLEN AUTO/LARCENY: A red 1991 Dodge Dakota was reported stolen from Dick's Auto Sales, 110 6th Avenue.

The incident occurred between 11 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday.

A battery was also stolen from one of the other vehicles in the car lot.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: A 63-year-old Huntington woman reported that someone busted out her vehicle's passenger window and stole numerous credit cards between 8:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday in the parking garage on 8th Street and 3rd Avenue.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING: A 26-year-old Huntington woman reported that someone struck her in the back of her head several times with a shoe about 3:58 a.m. Sunday in the 1400 block of 3rd Avenue.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING: A 17-year-old Huntington boy was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center after someone struck him on the head with a baseball bat about 5 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of Bridge Street.

BURGLARY/DOMESTIC WOUNDING: Josh David Bandy, 25, of Parkersburg was arrested about 5 a.m. Sunday in the 2900 block of 5th Avenue. He was charged with burglary and domestic wounding.

LARCENY: A 34-year-old Huntington man reported that a transmission was stolen from his porch about 10 a.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Bronson Court.

SEXUAL ASSAULT: A 22-year-old Huntington woman reported that her 4-year-old daughter had been sexually assaulted for approximately two months in the 1700 block of Charleston Avenue.

Police have one suspect.
