Stonewall Resort awarded its AAA Four Diamond Award for fifth year

April 17, 2008 @ 04:04 PM

WESTON, W.Va. — Stonewall Resort has been awarded the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award for the fifth year in a row, officials announced at an award presentation at the resort on Friday, April 11.

“AAA Four Diamond Award winners know the language of customer satisfaction as they consistently deliver premier experiences, complete with superior personal service, superb cuisine and impressive surroundings,” said Jim Lehman, Senior Vice President for AAA East Central.

According AAA, “Stonewall Resort joins a select group of AAA Four Diamond winners. Just 3.2 percent (1,915) of the 60,000 AAA Diamond Rated lodgings and restaurants throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean received the prestigious designation. Only one restaurant and two lodging facilities, including Stonewall Resort, in West Virginia have received the award.”

Steve Ludwig, Director of Sales & Marketing for Stonewall Resort, said, “This award is a result of the outstanding work ethic and dedication to service all our employees demonstrate at Stonewall.  As a matter of fact, our property has received the #1 Customer Service honor from our management company – Benchmark Hospitality – for the past two years in a row.”

The Four Diamond symbol will be included in Stonewall Resort’s listing in the 2008 AAA TourBook Guide, in print and on AAA’s website (www.aaa.com). AAA’s 50 million members depend upon TourBook guides to assist them with their travel-related decisions. An establishment’s diamond rating is often the deciding factor when members choose lodging or a restaurant.

According to AAA standards, lodging facilities that earn Four Diamonds “create a truly memorable experience for the guests. The lodgings feature a high level of service amid luxurious surroundings”.
