Day of Hope activities planned

HUNTINGTON — The Day of Hope will raise funds and offer a variety of events from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at the Hope House. 

The event will take place at 1410 Charleston Ave., across from the Robert C. Byrd Clinic parking lot. It will include a trophy for the best bike and best car, a share-the-pot raffle, free health screenings from Marshall University medical students, art on display by Huntington High School students, food, prizes and more.

A memorial service for victims of violent crime also will take place at 1 p.m.
