$1m, hole-in-one shootout planned at Pete Dye Golf Club

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (AP) _ The Nationwide Tour will give eight members of the public the chance to win $1 million for making a hole-in-one on a par-3 before the Players Club tournament in Bridgeport this summer.

Contestants in the Wells Fargo Players Cup Shootout will be chosen every Friday for the next two months at the Outback restaurant in Bridgeport.

Eight people — one chosen each week — will be offered a chance to try for an ace on the 185-yard 16th hole at the Pete Dye Golf Club.

The shootout will be held July 6. The Players Cup is set for July 10 through 13.
