Man suffers minor injuries after riding bike into trailer
HUNTINGTON -- A 21-year-old man suffered minor injuries Friday evening when he rode his bicycle into a trailer being hauled by a truck traveling through the 1700 block of 9th Avenue, police said.
"He saw the truck but he didn't see the trailer," said Huntington Police Officer J.R. Casto.
Casto said the man was transported by EMS to St. Mary's Medical Center. The incident happened around 7:15 p.m.
W.Va. American Water lifts boil water advisory
CHARLESTON -- West Virginia American Water has lifted a boil water advisory for customers in Five and Twenty Mile in Mason County.
The advisory was issued Tuesday after a water main break, but testing shows that the water quality now meets drinking water standards, and there is no further need to boil water.

W.Va. State gets $100,000 federal grant
INSTITUTE -- West Virginia State University is among 15 historically black land-grant schools to receive economic development and business promotion grants from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development.
Agriculture Under Secretary for Rural Development Thomas C. Dorr announced the grants Thursday.
West Virginia State received $100,000 from a total $1.5 million in grants that were awarded.
Beckley's BIG project gets $2.3M in federal funds
BECKLEY -- The U.S. Department of Transportation has released $2.3 million for the Beckley Intermodal Gateway project.
U.S. Rep. Nick J. Rahall said Thursday that the funding is part of $20 million he secured for the project in a 2005 transportation bill. The project is known as BIG.
Rahall said the $2.3 million will be used to develop BIG's intermodal facility, which will serve as a central bus depot, a taxi hub and a car rental facility.
Mayor Emmett Pugh says BIG will provide a new gateway into the city and will be a lynchpin for downtown development.
Development, and agri-tourism/artisan development in Fayette, Greenbrier, Mason, McDowell, Monroe, Nicholas, Pocahontas, Raleigh, Summers, Webster, and Wyoming counties.
