POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. (AP) _ It's been more than 40 years since he was first spotted in the river town of Point Pleasant, but middle age is not slowing Mothman down.
The annual Mothman Festival has been growing in popularity every year, to the point where organizer Jeff Wamsley said he was forced to create a Web site dedicated to the event.
The new site, www.mothmanfestival.com, has information about the event, which is scheduled this year for September 20th through the 21st.
Among the new attractions this year is the first-ever Miss Mothman Pageant, which will be held a few days before the festival.
The mysterious creature has been an economic boost for Point Pleasant, attracting tourists from all over the country.
