Ashland couple killed in motorcycle wreck

GRAYSON, Ky. — An Ashland couple were killed Sunday in a car/motorcycle wreck on Kentucky 733 in Grayson, according to a Kentucky State Police report.

The victims were identified as Mark Stone, 55, and his wife, Teresa Stone, 56, both of 412 Bellefonte Princess Road, Ashland. Mark Stone was pronounced dead at the scene by Carter County officials, while his wife was airlifted to Cabell Huntington Hospital. She was pronounced dead at 9:15 p.m. Sunday.

Mark Stone was traveling eastbound when he lost control of his motorcycle while negotiating an S-curve about 5:55 p.m. Sunday, then crossed the centerline. The motorcycle collided with a car driven by Delores M. Tussey, 81, of Denton, Ky., according to the report.

Mark Stone was the president of Air Equipment Sales and Service. Teresa Stone was a retired teacher from Raceland Schools. They are survived by two adult sons and a daughter. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Bridges Christian Church, with burial to follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
