South Point man says he was bitten by dog while riding his bike

IRONTON — The following information was compiled from Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department reports:

A 19-year-old South Point area man reported Sunday he was attacked and bitten by a dog while riding his bike. He said the dog owner laughed after the attack.

Sheriff’s deputies cited a 58-year-old South Point area man into court on a misdemeanor charge of failure to restrain a vicious dog.

BURGLARY: A 24-year-old Proctorville area man reported Saturday her ex-boyfriend climbed through a window to gain entry to her residence.

THEFT: A South Point area woman reported Saturday someone stole a camera valued at $1,000 from a store in Fayette Township.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: A 25-year-old South Point area man reported Saturday his brother poked him in the face with a finger, grabbed him by the neck, pulled him out of a chair, slammed him against a refrigerator and started choking him.

THEFT: A 59-year-old Pedro area woman reported Sunday someone stole a revolver valued at $300 from her residence in Elizabeth Township.

THEFT: A 26-year-old Proctorville area man reported Sunday someone stole a bass guitar valued at $1,500 from his truck in Fayette Township.

GRAND THEFT: A 25-year-old South Point area man reported Saturday someone stole a motorcycle valued at $1,200 from outside Sam’s Club in Fayette Township.

THEFT: A 66-year-old Proctorville area man reported Monday someone stole $680 in cash from a jar atop his refrigerator from his residence in Union Township.
