C-K Braves win Les Ghiz Tournament

VINSON -- The Ceredo-Kenova Braves edged First State Bank, 6-4, Saturday in the Les Ghiz Little League Baseball Tournament championship game.

Sam Brody tossed a complete game for the Braves, and teammate J. Michael Cisco supported the performance with a two-run home run.

With the score tied at 3, the Braves scored three runs in the fourth inning. Cisco's home run accounted for the first two runs and Brody added a triple and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Breyer Brewer. Brody finished 2-for-3.

Bryton Jones homered in the top of the sixth inning for First State Bank, which earned a title game berth by defeating the C-K Giants, 4-2. Connor Barebo finished 3-for-3 with a double and Jacob Beahes was 2-for-3 with a double for First State Bank.

Ross & Williamson won the consolation game, knocking off the Giants, 11-5.
