HUNTINGTON -- Parkersburg captured Mountain State Athletic Conference all-sports honors for the sixth consecutive school year.
Parkersburg compiled 256.5 points in the race for the school with the best overall sports program in the conference. George Washington was second with 247 followed by Huntington High 202.5, Hurricane 193 and Capital 187.5.
The MSAC awards points in 20 competitions including cheerleading and Quiz Bowl.
Parkersburg won conference championships in boys soccer, girls soccer and volleyball.
George Washington was a close second to the Big Reds with conference championships in football, boys and girls swimming, boys tennis and girls tennis.
Huntington High's third-place finish counted league titles in wrestling and girls basketball.
Hurricane won championships in golf and girls track.
Cabell Midland, which finished seventh in the standings, had league championships in boys and girls cross country and boys track.
Spring Valley placed 11th in the standings and Lincoln County was 16th.
