U.S. Army Corps welcomes Jaeger back to Huntington district
HUNTINGTON — John Jaeger will return to the Huntington District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, according to a recent press release issued by the Corps.
Jaeger returns to the area as Chief of the Engineering and Construction Division. It follows a lengthy assignment in Corps Headquarters in Washington. There he was responsible for leading the Interagency Performance Evaluation Team (IPET) that analyzed the failure of the New Orleans levees.
In Huntington, Jaeger serves as a member of the Corporate Board and as an advisor to the District commander. He directs a diverse staff engaged in the district’s engineering design, construction, dam safety, levee safety, water management, local protection, flood proofing, and environmental enhancement and restoration projects, according to the release.
Jaeger also serves as the Career Program Manager for the district’s more than 300 engineers and scientists, and as the District’s Levee and Dam Safety Program Manager, the release states.
