Dinner to raise funds for child with cancer
NITRO -- A spaghetti dinner to raise funds for two-year-old Harley Thornton is being held from 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday, March 8, at PJ's Preschool.
Thornton suffers from neuroblastoma, a rare pediatric cancer affecting the nervous system.
Tickets will be $10 and include a salad, dinner, dessert and drink. All proceeds will go to the Thornton family.
The event will also include door prizes.
Tickets may be purchased at the preschool at 5453 Big Tyler Road, Cross Lanes, or by calling (304) 741-2592.
PJ's Preschool and Lyle Atkins with LA Contracting also are on a committee to help the Thornton family build an addition to their house. Donations are still needed, and checks should be made payable to Nitro Church of the Nazarene, 1400 Sattes Circle, Nitro, W.Va., 25413.
