Police respond to disturbance at stores
BARBOURSVILLE -- The Wii video game system is designed to get its user exercising while using the interactive video game system.
And it was doing that Sunday morning even before the hot Christmas item of 2007 got plugged in.
A dispatcher with Cabell 911 said they took calls after 9 a.m. Sunday of a group of people causing a disturbance outside Circuit City and then Best Buy near the Huntington Mall as shoppers tried to get to the stores for their 10 a.m. openings.
No injuries were reported.
A manager at Best Buy said they could not comment on the subject.
The much-sought-after video game systems have been doled out in drawings at many stores in the region, as supply has not met demand for the latest system.
To check on availability, you can call Circuit City at (304) 733-6994 and Best Buy at (304) 733-0443.
