Western Regional Jail correction officers receive recognition
BARBOURSVILLE -- The Western Regional has awarded "Good Conduct Medals" to 31 correctional officers.
The facility serves police agencies and courts in Cabell, Lincoln, Mason, Putnam and Wayne counties.
Spokesman Joe Thornton said the awards program was implemented in June 2005 to ensure employees are properly identified and recognized for acts of heroism, bravery and notable accomplishments.
"These officers were recognized for distinguishing themselves by their exemplary conduct, efficiency and fidelity for a three-year period," he said.
The "Good Conduct" medals went to the following: Lt. Carl E. Aldridge, First Sgt. Kathy A. Sergent, Sgt. Johnny R. Bowman, Sgt. Christopher D. Fleming, Sgt. George A. Wallace, Cpl. Timothy G. Blevins, Cpl. Dianne B. Brubaker, Cpl. Tammy D. Everson, Cpl. Benjamin G. Greer, Cpl. James W. Smith, Cpl. Preston S. Stephens, Cpl. Gregg M. Stiltner, and Correction Officers Christopher S. Allen, Jeffery A. Brewer, Richard P. Call, Darrell G. Chapman, Shawn P. Chapman, Fred M. Ferguson, James R. Fisher, April Franklin, Gary A. Kypke, Chauncey E. Maynard, Michael T. Napier, William R.
