Marshall golf

Marshall Lady Herd Golf Day is June 13.

The Thundering Herd women's golf team fund-raiser is a foursome best ball, full handicap tournament at Sleepy Hollow G.C. in Hurricane with a 1 p.m. shotgun start.

Entry fees are $125 for Sleepy Hollow members and $150 for non-members. The price includes greens fees, cart, tee gift, prizes, lunch and a donation to the golf team. Registration can be as a group or as individuals.

Hole sponsorships are available for $100.

Marshall fund-raiser

A Celebrity Chef Auction fund-raiser is being conducted by the Marshall women's basketball Locker Room Club.

The May 29 event at American Legion Post 177 in Barboursville features celebrity chefs such as Ian Wiley, Rocco Muriale, David Felinton, Stephen Kopp, Red Dawson and Tim Irr. Also participating are Marshall coaches Royce Chadwick, Mark Snyder and Donnie Jones.

High bidders in the auction will receive a private dinner cooked at their home by the celebrity chef.

Admission to the auction is $5. A cash bar and hors d'oeuvres begin at 6 p.m. with the auction at 7 p.m.

Tickets are available at the women's basketball office in Cam Henderson Center and at the event.
