Thunder first in Super Regional

CINCINNATI -- The West Virginia Thunder 11u team evened the score with the Cincinnati Legends and won the title in the AAU Super Regional basketball tournament held last weekend.

The Thunder beat the Legends, 51-37, in the championship game to finish on top in the 12u division. Jenna Burdette led Thunder with 20 points and Mychal Johnson added 12 points and pulled down 17 rebounds.

In pool play, the Legends defeated the Thunder, 51-41.
