Energetic teens sought for summer volunteer program

ASHLAND – The Highlands Museum & Discovery Center invites area teens to apply for participation in the museum’s summer volunteer program.

Teen volunteers will assist with summer workshops and outreach programs, perform experiments with younger guests in the FETCH! Lab and provide assistance with general museum operations.

To participate in the student volunteer program, applicants must have completed the sixth grade and attend a mandatory training session.

Teens interested in the student volunteer program should contact Dan Blevins, director of operations, for an application.

The museum is located at 1620 Winchester Ave. The museum is open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Admission is $5.50 for adults, $4.50 for children 2 and older and seniors. Members and children under 2 are admitted free.
