Sunshine today, rain tomorrow

HUNTINGTON — Forecasters predict sunny skies today with rain throughout the week, according to the National Weather Service.

Today’s forecast is mostly sunny with a high near 70 degrees, increasing clouds tonight and a low around 53.

Rain is likely on Sunday, with a chance of thunderstorms after 11 a.m. and a high near 64 degrees.

Rain may persist, with a chance of showers before 3 p.m. on Monday and again on Wednesday. Monday’s high may reach near 61 degrees.

Forecasters predict Tuesday will be sunny, with a high near 71 degrees and a low around 50.

A 50 percent chance for showers and thunderstorms exists for Wednesday.

Thursday will be mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers and a high near 67 degrees.

Friday also will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers. The high will be near 71.
