BARBOURSVILLE — Congressman Nick J. Rahall will speak at the Cabell and Lincoln Counties Community Friends of Scouting Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 15, at the veterans home in Barboursville.
The dinner is to support the 3,500 youth who participate annually in the Boy Scout program from Cabell and Lincoln Counties.
Cabell and Lincoln Counties are two of 10 counties that make up the Tri-State Area Council.
Anyone wishing to attend must make a reservation by calling the scout service center at 304-523-3408, or contacting one of the table hosts for the dinner, and be willing to contribute to the Tri-State Area Council.
Volunteer table hosts are Terry Houck, Janet Artrip, Dr. Wayne Thacker, John Van Horn, Alvan Watts and Jeff Jackson.
The goal for the dinner is $6,500. The Tri-State Area Council operates on $111 per scout served.
