Coal truck crash closes U.S. 52
PRICHARD — A late morning coal truck accident forced crews to close U.S. 52 in Prichard.
The accident happened about 11:30 a.m. It involves a coal truck and a car. The vehicles were heading in opposite directions, according to Wayne County 911.
HealthNet was called to transport at least one patient by air.
The road was still closed as of 1:04, according to Wayne County 911.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
