Emergency dispatchers are reporting two school bus accidents this morning. The incidents are unrelated.

The first accident involved a school bus and a deer in Boyd County, Ky. Dispatchers said it happened about 6:53 a.m. on Old U.S. 60 in Cannonsburg. It occurred close to the old 64/60 Truck Stop. Glass breakage has led to some very minor injuries.

Fourteen students were taken to area hospitals as a precaution, according to school officials.

The Boyd County Sheriff’s Department is investigating. The eastbound lane of old U.S. 60 was closed due to the accident.

The second incident happened in Cabell County. It involved a school bus and another vehicle. It occurred about 7:30 a.m. at U.S. 60 and Malcomb Springs in Milton. No injuries are being reported. The children are being transferred to another bus.
