Winning Mega Millions ticket sold near Cincinnati
CLEVELAND (AP) — A lucky lottery player who stopped into a suburban Cincinnati liquor store has a Mega Millions ticket worth $196 million.
Lottery spokeswoman Marie Kilbane said Friday night that the ticket for the drawing was bought from Main Street Wine & Spirits in Amelia in southwest Ohio.
Lottery officials in Georgia say just one ticket won the jackpot. Another 17 players who matched five numbers but not the Mega Ball number will receive second place prizes of $250,000 each.
It’s the first Mega Millions winning ticket to be sold in Ohio since Dec. 1, 2006, when a winning ticket was bought in Columbus.
The winning numbers for Friday night’s drawing were 6, 11, 39, 46 and 47. The Mega Ball number was 26.
