The Marshall University Board of Governors has requested that university administration gather more information regarding proposals from Prestera Center and the Cabell County Board of Education, two entities that made formal Friday offers for the University Heights Apartments property.

Cabell County residents can get rid of tires next month

The Cabell County Solid Waste Authority and West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection are sponsoring a tire  drop-off event from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at K-Mart on U.S. 60 near Barboursville.

There is no cost to drop off tires, but the event is only open to Cabell County residents. Participants will be required to provide identification showing they live in Cabell County.

The limit is 10 tires per household.
