Shawnee Drive to be closed tonight
Shawnee Drive, a street between Barboursville and Huntington, will be closed for two hours tonight. West Virginia American Water crews will be making way for a new water main, according to the company’s recent press release.
The street will be shut down at its junction with U.S. 60 from 10 p.m. to midnight. The work is part of the $1.2 million infrastructure project that will improve water service from Huntington to Barboursville.
While that part of the street will be closed, water service is not expected to be disrupted. In the event of rain this evening, crews will do the work on Wednesday at the same time.
