TULSA, Okla. — Marshall University singles player Kellie Schmitt was knocked out of the NCAA women’s tennis Thursday morning.
Megan Moulton-Levy from William and Mary, ranked 12th in the nation, defeated Schmitt, 6-2, 6-0, at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the University of Tulsa campus.
Schmitt’s second round appearance was a first for the Thundering Herd program.
The Marshall doubles entry of Schmitt/Karolina Soor plays Thursday afternoon.
